About the Webstore

Domains

The Seggiano webstore is located at www.seggiano.com. The secure part of the site resides on checkout.seggiano.com. This uses an SSL certificate which must be renewed annually.

Netsuite

The system runs on Netsuite and uses the inventory and assembly items from within Netsuite that are marked as 'Show in Webstore'. It is the 'Online Price' set on a product in Netsuite which is used on the webstore.

Website features are generally located in two areas of Netsuite - under 'Lists > Web Site' and 'Setup > Site Builder'.

Orders

Orders are fulfilled by Jaymini Fine Foods. They are exported from Netsuite to their system throughout the day. The actual financial transactions for the orders are cancelled out on Netsuite.

Basic Principles

Website traffic is generated through several means:

• Direct visits, eg. a user types in www.seggiano.com into their browser because they know the website address, or perhaps click on a link in an email.
• Web search for 'Seggiano'
• Web search where the results include a page from the Seggiano website.

The more relevant text and information that can be included in a product or other page, the more likely that is to turn up in a web search. When entering product descriptions with search engine traffic in mind, always try to include words and phrases that you expect customers to search for.

Customers & Ordering

Customers can register their details or purchase as a 'guest'. They must select a shipping option as they progress through the checkout - these are defined in Netsuite. Payment options are card or Paypal. It is also possible to add credit terms to individual customer accounts which provides a PO/Invoice option in the checkout but it is not clear how this would work with Jaymini fulfilment and is not currently used.
