Image editing for upload

It's possible to use different applications to edit and prepare images, however there are some general rules to adhere to.

• Use either JPEGs or PNGs. All other file types will cause unpredictable behaviour.

• Basic web resolution is 72ppi. For better quality images on hi-res screens, a higher resolution can be used but the benefits are limited beyond about 150ppi.

• If images are supplied as hi-res (eg. 300ppi, above 1200px in height or width, it is worth reducing these in size to avoid the image size slowing down the admin and customer experience.
