The Product Bible Process

The following is a guide on how the process for the product Bible works.

  1. The 'Excel File' controlled by Seggiano is uploaded to Seggiano.info/feed
  2. The next step occurs at midnight each day. This step looks in the above mentioned folder for the Excel file it will read data from.
  3. Once the file has been located, its opened and looks at the UK Database sheet only for the products it should be updating.
  4. Two files are then created based on the information gathered, product-import-assembly.csv and product-import-inventory.csv
  5. The next step is to take the two files created in the previous step and automatically send them to NetSuite. The two created CSV files are stored within File Cabinet/Web Site Hosting Files/Live Hosting Files/seggiano-info-csv
  6. Another script, that exists on NetSuite (207) is the final step that takes the two newly created CSV's and uses the importer to update the details of each product.
